Trim Parts in Assembly

Trim Parts in Assembly

Trim Parts in Assembly

(OP)
Hello, New to SE(v20) and was wondering if there is a way to Trim/Cut/Slice or modify parts along a plane that are in an Assembly?

Thanks,
Rob

RE: Trim Parts in Assembly

Hi Rob,
Not sure exactly what you mean, but there are tools under Assembly Features that let you make cuts, holes etc in parts within the assembly environment.
You have the choice of whether the feature cuts the parts in the assembly or tranferred down into the part models.
If it's tranferred into the part models it is still controlled and modified from the assembly file.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi,

also a possible intention: create a section view. That's also
possible: MainMenue --> View --> Section
