CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

(OP)
I made a pull down menu that works great for ACAD 14.
Now weve moved on to CAD 2000 and 2002.
The menu and slides still work for the most part BUT...
the selections that should "insert" something no longers simply inserts, instead it opens the CAD insert box.

Can someone tell me what I need to change in the menu?
Below is a sample of my MNU
Thanks in advance.
Dan

RE: CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

Dan,

Just preceded the insert command with a hyphen (as in "-insert") to suppress the dialogue box, and all should be well.

Nope, same deal.
But now I get a additional message when I cancel the pop up insert box.

Unknown command "E:/TYP-DETS/1.DWG
Did I miss something???
the line now says:
[Details(1,DETAIL-1)]^C-INSERT E:/TYP-DETS/1.dwg;\;;;

RE: CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

Don't know, you really shouldn't get the box popping up.  Did you unload the menu and reload the mnu file?

RE: CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

(OP)
Yup, I removed the menu, then restarted cad 2000, reloaded the menu and still had the same thing happen..

RE: CAD menu 14 to 2000 HELP

Now I'm fishing but,

1. If insert has been redefined, use instead '._-insert', the period bypasses any redefinition, underscore has to do with foreign language version.
2. Try double backslash instead of forward slash.
