Drawing Setup Files

Drawing Setup Files

Drawing Setup Files

(OP)
I am trying to modify the drawing setup files (DTL) and whenever I try to save the file, I get the following message:

"Cannot create the file.  Make sure that the path and file name are correct."

I have checked the filename, path, read/write permissions, etc. and can't seem to figure out what is going on.  I even had everyone exit completely out of ProE but it still would not let me save any changes.  Is this PTC related or network related?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

RE: Drawing Setup Files

Check and see if you have write permission for the directory in question.

I had the IT manager check on this for me this morning and was told that everything looked OK.  I even tried to modify the DTL within ProE and then save it to the network drive but that didn't work.  I think this tells me that the problem is network problem and not a DTL / PTC problem.

RE: Drawing Setup Files

They are just text files, see if you can edit them with a text editor.
