P-T Ratings for 150# Class Threaded Fittings

P-T Ratings for 150# Class Threaded Fittings

(OP)
Greetings,
Does anyone have tabulated Pressure vs. Temperature data for 150# class forged steel threaded fittings (for multiple metals would be great) conforming to B16.11?  I even found a few 1000# class 316 fittings in a parts bin at work and wonder if tabular data for that odd class is available as well.

I have photocopied pages of tabular data for a variety of materials in 2000#, 3000#, and 6000# class, but no reference (I suspect from old piping catalogs). Penn Machine has a good asortment of tables, but nothing less than 2000# class.

Thanks!

RE: P-T Ratings for 150# Class Threaded Fittings

As the tables you found indicate, there are no forged steel screwed fittings below 2000#. 150's and 300's are made of malleable iron. 125# and 250# are cast iron.

What's your application? Pressure/temperature?

Greetings,
The 150# class fittings I am most interested in are 300 series stainless steel.  I was mistaken when I referenced B16.11 which you correctly state lists a minimum 2000# class.

Since these 150# class threaded fittings are common in different steel alloys, the question is what standard/s contains the dimensional requirements since these are supplied from both castings and forgings.  I am attaching a picture which shows some 150# fittings and one 1000# coupling.

My purpose is to be able to provide Pressure-Temperature data for piping systems in R&D where these common fittings are used.

Thanks!

I found out that the applicable standard is MSS SP-114.  I will see if I review a copy at work and see what it contains.  I would still like any tabular data anyone can provide.

Thanks
