Honeycomb Core

(OP)
guys - I'm in dire need of some help: as many of you know, Hexcel makes several flavors of core material. Some of the more popular that we use here is HRP and HRH. Nevertheless, i'm in some urgent need of getting ahold of some HTP. Do any of you (or anyone of your colleagues) have some spare quantities of this material that we could buy? Ideally i'm looking for 3/16 cell with 5.5 psf. but would entertain others.

RE: Honeycomb Core

Where is your company?
I can give you a couple of addresses in Spain. Haven“t been working for them in years, but we used to work with HRH. Maybe they have some HTP.

RE: Honeycomb Core

Depending if you're affiliated with a company, and the quantity you need, it might be worth contacting Hexcel directly and asking for a small sample.

Probably about a year ago, we cleaned out an area and and got rid of a ton of R&D core. We gave a bunch to local universities, and we scrapped/salvage/surplused the rest. It's probably a long-shot, but depending on your location, it might be worth checking in with these people: http://surplussales.spiritaero.com/

RE: Honeycomb Core

Honeycomb One is good, but particularly the Texas Almet division.  They tend to be the Hexcel Outlet.  They did not have it listed, but it does not mean it is not there.

Just search for Texas Almet.
