Isometric dimension
Isometric dimension
(OP)
Hi.
I have a drawing with an isometric view of a part exported to a dxf file, my problem is when i open this file with autocad and try to measure, the dimensions are less than real.
Anybody knows what´s happen?

RE: Isometric dimension
Isometric view is a distortion of a 3D object expressed as a 2D image. There's old board drafting rules for creating these views. SolidWorks provides usefulness to this type of view by handling the object it in 3D while showing it in 2D. However, it is still just a projection (either on the paper or on the screen). If you took a ruler to your screen against an isometric view, what would your results be? Well, you'd get something similar to what your DXF is giving you.
