(OP)
Dear all,

may I have your opinion about the implementaion of a SAFEGUARDING MEMORANDUM (plant evaluation, study & planning, installation)?

thanks a lot in advance.

RE: Safety analisys

Depending on your jurisdiction the requirements will change. We have found that by sourcing this type of work out to a third party engineering firm you can pass the liability to them as well, and keep the costs low if you are not familiar with complying with said regulations. It is also useful to include in your project planning for new equipment, specifications that the manufacterer ensure the machinery complies with local regulations. We have recently undergone extensive guarding projects for our plant and this is how we have started approaching these issues.

RE: Safety analisys

In the US we cannot pass on the liability as it rests solely on the operator to comply and to generate risk management documents.
