Can't access server

(OP)
We have two machines with AutoCAD 2008 installed and a licnse server at a remote location.

One machine can find the license server and is up and running, the other cannot.

The error we get is 1.5.-15 which is:

15 Cannot connect to license server system.
The server (lmgrd) has not been started yet, or the wrong port@host or license file is
being used, or the TCP/IP port or host name in the license file has been changed.

We have reset the server name to the ip address, no difference.

We have copied the licpath.lic file from the working machine to the not working machine, no difference.

We aren't network speciallists (not even classed as newbies we know so little) and not getting any support from those that run the remote server.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
