Has anyone heard of S-235-JR material for steel

Has anyone heard of S-235-JR material for steel

Has anyone heard of S-235-JR material for steel

(OP)
I am involved in a project where the fabricator has used a material called S-235-JR to fabricate the structural steel. I have never heard of this grade steel, but I am told it has an allowable yield stress less than 36 ksi. Can anyone point me to a spec for this material?
thanks.

RE: Has anyone heard of S-235-JR material for steel

EN standards are EuroNorms which are created by a central body (CEN) and then distributed by the various national organizations (BSI, DIN, etc.).  Look for BS EN 10025-2 at the BSI website or IHS (http://global.ihs.com).
