Retardating Plastic Concrete

Retardating Plastic Concrete

Retardating Plastic Concrete

(OP)
I would like to know what experience other engineers have retarding plastic concrete for a continuous deck pour.  I have used RX type retarders where the concrete can be confidently retarded to remain plastic for up to 6-8 hours.  I have a situation where the concrete needs to remain plastic for up to 14 hours and do not have the luxury of time for R & D.  What experience do you have using standard products from Grace, Master Builders, Axiom, etc.?  Any experience would be appreciated.

RE: Retardating Plastic Concrete

I'm not an engineer.  YET   Take a look at Recover by Grace, and Delvo by Masterbuilders.  I have seen both used successfuly in the long term retardation of concrete.
