Heat Transfer Software

Heat Transfer Software

Heat Transfer Software

(OP)
I work for a consulting firm and we are currently investigating new software for analyzing heat transfer problems.  We would like to be able to model heat exchangers, jackets, pipe tracing, and mixing.  Any software that would potentiall help with sizing pumps would be helpful as well.  I know there are several packages out there, but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions for one that they have found helpful. Your insight would be appreciated.

Thank you!

RE: Heat Transfer Software

You can try UniSim Heat Exchanger (UHX) suite or Aspen's Heat exchanger product line.

RE: Heat Transfer Software

dbaylor,

as far as heat xsfer modelling software for heat exchangers, the software at this website is widely used by processing industry heat transfer specialists.  You will pay though.

for "jackets, pipe tracing, and mixing", i am not certain what you are seeking.  perhaps the freely available software at website: http://www.naima.org/  will meet your needs.

hope this helps!

Good luck!
