How well do SWx and M1 software work together?  My company will be purchasing SWx and currently use M1.  Anyone out there use both?  Any tips on integrating the two will be helpful.

RE: SWx and M1 software compatability

I assume you are talking about Bowen & Groves' M1 ERP software?  I haven't heard of it till your post.  I would think this would be a good question for your M1 provider and your SolidWorks VAR.  I don't see B&G listed on the SW Gold Partner list, but this doesn't mean the two programs won't talk to each other.  It probably means your VAR would not be able to offer support.

What type of integration are you looking to do?  Automatic input and updates of BOMs and Drawings, or more like automated ECR/ECO?  It all depends on how open M1 is and what inputs it can work with.
