Weld distortion

Weld distortion

Weld distortion

(OP)
I have a Ti-6al-4V plate, 470mm diameter and 10.5mm thick, that has distorted by 1.5mm due to some surface welding. I eventually need the plate to be 10mm +-0.1mm on it's flatness, but I left it 0.5mm thick to allow for some distortion. Any suggested methods for flattening the plate again before final machining? I know a company that could use shot peening, but this isn't ideal for various reasons. Another suggestion has been creep flattening, but I can find very little information on this.
