Component pattern to follow a path ?

Component pattern to follow a path ?

Component pattern to follow a path ?

(OP)
Does anyone know how I can get a component to follow a sketch path in an assembly?  Rather than just a linear edge or circular pattern.

RE: Component pattern to follow a path ?

mrkoko,

First you have great handle, second you may want to create sketch pattern in a part, and then use the derived component pattern in the assembly so that it follows the sketch pattern in the part.

cheers,

RE: Component pattern to follow a path ?

You want a curve pattern if you are doing equal spacing. A sketch pattern will require you to sketch points in a sketch where you want the feature placed but a curve pattern allows you to maintain orientation of feature as constant or relative to tangency of the sketched curve.
