Toolbox Error

Toolbox Error

Toolbox Error

(OP)
I am getting this error.

the data folder c:\program files\solidworks\toolbox\data\browser, which is required for toolbox browser, does not exist

Anyone know how to replace this file?? I tried running the repair from the disks but it kept asking for disc 1 when it was already reading disc 1....

RE: Toolbox Error

Have you tried searching the disc(s) for the file and manually copying it? If there are other users, can you copy their file?

RE: Toolbox Error

Which package of SolidWorks do you have? (Basic, Professional or Premium). Toolbox is not part of the basic package.

Are you using the same discs for the repair as for the install? i.e. CD vs DVD.

cheers

RE: Toolbox Error

Are you using 08?  I had a similar problem due to the way that solidworks loaded & the file locations it was searching for...

We ended up having a corrupt swbrowser.mdb file. I spent the whole day working with a Solidworks guy trying to fix it. We ended up using a backed up copy from the tapes from our server. Thanks for all the help, but unfortunatly it's just Window's being Window's. :)
