Orienting 3D Block with UCS

Orienting 3D Block with UCS

(OP)
Hello,

I recently imported a 3D .igs part file into AutoCAD and am trying to create drafting views of it so I can dimension it.  I currently have it saved as a block and have tried to square it up to the coordinate system since after I imported it, it was not parallel to any of the WCS axes.  Should I be making a new UCS? If so I've tried but haven't had any luck.  Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for your time.

RE: Orienting 3D Block with UCS

Hi eng86,

Try using the align command - play with it a bit and you should get what you're after.
