Problem with FEA Simulation

Problem with FEA Simulation

(OP)
I am trying to run an FEA model of a part that i have built.  I get the following error when I try to solve the .sim file.

Nastran Solver Directory Cannot be accessed: C:\Program Files\UGSPLM\NX Nastran\2.0\bin\

I am also running Ideas on this machine, so I am wondering if the Nastran solver is located out on the server somewhere and so therefore it didn't get installed when they put NX4 on my machine.  Is there a method to tell UG to look in another location for this file?  And if so would the Ideas Nastran solver work for this?  I have spoke with the IT guys and they said they put everything on my machine that our company bought, and I am pretty sure it was the full blown NX4.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

RE: Problem with FEA Simulation

It has been over a year since I had the same problem. I had to make sure I was pointing to the correct server ID for the license. It took a couple attempts and we also contacted customer support to get something to work within the software. It required something in the environment variables be set to the correct UGII_LICENSE_FILE=2400@(serverid). I was using a pre-released version to write training material for IknowledgeSolutions (igetit) so this might be different in the released version.
