Creating Surface Finish and GTOL's in Drawing Mode

Creating Surface Finish and GTOL's in Drawing Mode

(OP)
I have a model where I created some surface finish and geometric tolerances in the drawing mode.  When I went back to the model, the geometric tolerances and the surface finishes were part of the model.  I don't want them to be seen in the model and I can't figure out a way to "hide" them in the model mode.  Any ideas on how I can do this or should these only be created in the model mode?

Thanks for your help.

RE: Creating Surface Finish and GTOL's in Drawing Mode

Here is the simplest way to do this.

Create a layer & set the rule options to be Independant & Associative
Edit the rules to add Geometric Tolerance & Surface Finish to the layer.
Hide the layer

Ensure that the config option in the drawing dtl file - ignore_model_layer_status is set to yes
