SS Strength vs Temp Data?

SS Strength vs Temp Data?

SS Strength vs Temp Data?

(OP)
What is the best source for strength data of stainless steel in different temperatures?

I know some ss steels are listed in Military Handbook 5, matweb.com pages in in building codes (fire engineering).

On the other hand, I'm sick and tired in bying new ridiculously priced codes, which just refers to an other, even more expensive one. Any suggestions?

RE: SS Strength vs Temp Data?

If you want information for free you are going to have to spend some time searching for it over the Internet (try Google with specific key words) or visit a local, Technical Junior College library. Also, if you need to purchase reference materials for your job, you need to make a business case and convince your boss you need access to this material to do your job.

RE: SS Strength vs Temp Data?

I use an ASM handbook on elevated temperature properties.  I can look for the ISBN when I get back to the office.

RE: SS Strength vs Temp Data?

ANSI B31.3 FOR PETROLEUM REFINERY PIPING IS A GOOD CODE FOR PRESSURE PIPING WHERE YOU CAN FIND strength data of stainless steel in different temperatures.
