Hi,
I want use normal NBR instead of getting a specially degined NBR for low mold fouling property.
But normal NBR should have low mold fouling property just like so call, green NBR.
What should I do to abtain that property with normal NBR?

I'm going to use zinc oxide/stearic/accelerator/sulphur cures.

There was a paper published in Natuurrubber 42 (Q2, 2006) about mould foulding in tyre moulds. It conlcuded:
Quote "It can be concluded that zinc sulphide crystals are formed on the surface of metal moulds through in situ formation of ZnS in the compound as a reaction product during vulcanisation. Possible solutions might be:
Adapting a compound
- Mould fouling may be reduced by reduction of the zinc oxide levels;
- Mould fouling can be eliminated or reduced by using nano-zinc oxide.
However, for optimal mechanical and dynamic properties of the compounds more investigations have to be carried out.
Applying a coating
- A magnetite coating is a very likely candidate. Results of tests are very promising but experiments in tyre moulds are necessary to verify the potential of magnetite coatings in preventing mould fouling.

I'm very very thank you for the information you posted. Thery are very valuable to me. I can have the time thinking about the mold fouling phenomenum from the basic.
The paper you quoted is Natuurruber 42 (Q2, 2006)? plz tell me about it in detail. I really want to review it.
And what does magnetite coating mean? Is it kind of the metal coated on the mold?
