I am new in Petro chem industry,Do blind flanges have different faces too, like flat, raised and ring joint faces?

Thank you

Feati

RE: Blind flange

Yes
I don't know what else to say about that.  Stroll out to the warehouse and check it out yourself.  That is always the best way.

Blind flanges do have RF or RTJ face to match the mating flange.

For details you can refer ASME B16.5

cheers

These are my personal views/opinions and not of my employer's.

RE: Blind flange

Some of us don't have access to a warehouse.

Also review blanks - a.k.a. blinds, skillets, etc. per ASME B16.48. This requires similar facing (most that I have seen are flat).  B46.1 describes surface texture.  B16.20 describes metal gaskets.

RE: Blind flange

You can even google and find suppliers that have pictures.

RE: Blind flange

my two cents .............in addition to the facings noted above, there are vaiations to the raised & flat face flanges  - they can be machined to either a phonographic serrated or concentric serrated finish (standard is a 125-250 AARH).  Also available are Tounge & Groove - large or small - and Male & Female - large or small.
