why silicone temperature higher that die temperature?

why silicone temperature higher that die temperature?

why silicone temperature higher that die temperature?

For high power LED, why the temperature of silicone can reach around 200 degree C although the die temperature only around 100++ degree C?

where can i find related journal regrading to the Q?

RE: why silicone temperature higher that die temperature?

i'm sorry, how does this relate to FEM analysis ?

RE: why silicone temperature higher that die temperature?

(OP)
im sorry. Or i change my question a bit.

If we use FEA method to simulate or analyze LED, i will found that the temperature of silicone is lower than die tempperature. however in real life, the silicone temperature is much higher than die temperature as i mentioned before this.

In order to solve this problem,we must know what is happen so that we can set all those initial condition and so on to do analysis.Am i right?

RE: why silicone temperature higher that die temperature?

Forgive me, kosy, but I'm not sure I'm following your question.  You have an LED, but you are not sure of the inputs?  If your material information or your convection coefficients, your ambient environment information...there are MANY things that could cause what I think to be your problem, but I have to guess to fill in a lot of information.

And to start, what software are you using?

I would encourage you to find a consultant in your area and ask him/her to help you through a problem or two.  Or, you may be able to contact your software representative and see if they can provide a tutorial or some resources for material information.
