Marking Issues on Valves With API 607

(OP)
Hello my client received some valves that were provided with a Fire Test Summary and Certification Test report Number 1003 Test dated 10/14/93 with class rating showing 3000 PSIG Size ½ “ The COC certified valves to API 6FA and API 607. The valves had no engravings stamped and Per information supplied by an Inspector in conversation under specification 607 section 7.5 special markings in addition to marking required by relevant standards and regulations valves qualified to this international standards shall be marked ISO-FT (F=Fire and T=Tested)   He also stated that this is also supported in several other section of the same API code?
Does this section apply to Size 1/2 3000 PSIG, I don’t have a copy of this code.

RE: Marking Issues on Valves With API 607

The API 607 fire test standard became an ISO standard only a few years ago.  It did not exist back in 1993 when the valve was tested to the revision of the API standard at that time.  Curretn rev. of the API standard is 5th, which is the ISO standard.  The test methods and allowable leak rates vary by revision.  The 1993 test is not vaild anymore.
