I need information about Hysis Simulator. Can you help me?
thnak you,
Mehrdad

RE: hysis simulation

You are going to need to provide more information than this on what help you need.

RE: hysis simulation

(OP)
I am wondering if there is any tutorial course for Hysis(online tutorial or book).
Thank you

RE: hysis simulation

Hysys should provide you with some sort of training materials for their program.  I'm more familar with Hysim (the previous program) but their manual was pretty good at teaching you how to use it.

You could check their website for any information.  I've not seen any 3rd party courses offered on how to use Hysys (the vendor will typically provide these, at a cost).

RE: hysis simulation

Hyprotech carries out training courses on request. there is a forum within this web site for hyprotech. Also try visiting www.hyprotech.com

RE: hysis simulation

If you already have Hysis you must have received the manuals. Hyprotech also organises training courses -check out at their website.

RE: hysis simulation

how can i get the free download of hysis??

RE: hysis simulation

Dear reen,

Free downloads are not always the best - and not HYSIS. HYSIS is one of the expensive simulation software in market now!

RE: hysis simulation

Hysis has been purchased by Aspen Tech Simulation Sciences last week. I have used both for a long time, I advise you to start with hysis through thier fancy and user-friendly interface, but some time later you will find AspenTech is more accurate especially with the highly complicated chemical processes.

RE: hysis simulation

I want to learn how I can use Hysis.

RE: hysis simulation

Please can you tell me how I can get to learn Hysis?  I use to run Process SimSi and Chemshare Design II along time ago and now I will need to know Hysis for my future career path.

RE: hysis simulation

Go to http://www.hyprotech.ab.ca/support/ and select animated tutorials.  This may be about the only "free" approach for learning about running Hysys.

Also, you can contact Hyprotech (now AspenTech) to ask if they have a training course available in your area.  If you are very serious about learning the software, they use to lease on a monthly basis (but this is VERY expensive).

One thing about the basic training course.  The one I attended ran through pretty much every feature of the program.  While the basic course will teach you "keyboarding", it will not teach you how to be good at developing simulations.

I hope this helps!

RE: hysis simulation

Can I modelate catalitic cracking by the lumps method in Hysys process?
Bustamante.

RE: hysis simulation

Hi,

I hope you saw my post answering this in the other thread...

I would say that Hysys is not the proper tool to model a Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit.  Even Hyprotech partners with other companies (i.e., KBC) for this technology.

Bob

RE: hysis simulation

Hi, I bought the Book "Process Design Principles: Synthesis, analysis, and Evaluation" from Seider, in which includes a CP package with tutorials and examples files of this and other simulators, my problems is that I can't modify the examples, when the textbook makes reference to that feature as included. I know you may not be too related to this book, but I have already tried

RE: hysis simulation

Florida University has an excelent free on line tutorial for hysys. You can find it very easy with google.
