Mechanical latch/lever for crank

Mechanical latch/lever for crank

Mechanical latch/lever for crank

(OP)
Need to find a mechanical latch/lever like the ones used on boat winches, come-alongs etc.  This lever allows gear movement in one direction and prevents slippage in the other
By lifting the lever you can release the gear in the opposite direction.  Where can I find this lever or similar ones without remove it from my boat winch?

RE: Mechanical latch/lever for crank

Todd,

West Marine Products sells winch re-build kits.

If you already think winch pieces are good enough, I can't imagine going thru the trouble to build hardware!

Larry

I think it's westmarine.com or close to it.

RE: Mechanical latch/lever for crank

Hi,
You can also try some of the following web sites.  If you search for a ratcheting crank, or something similar I'm sure you'll find what you're after:

www.reidtools.com
www.southco.com
www.mcmaster.com

best of luck!

RE: Mechanical latch/lever for crank

Sterling/Stock Drive Products sells Paws.
