Whats the standard protocol to treat biopharmaceutical waste water?

(OP)
Hi,

I am curious to know the waste water treatment for biopharmaceuticals containing Antibiotics.

In our company we use CIP-100 (its a caustic detergent) to kill the bugs before dumping to the drain but I don't recall any specific treatment given for the cultures containing antibiotics.

Typical antibiotics used in processes are: Ampicilline, tetracycline, kanamycin.

Any help or suggestion in this matter will surely help!

Thanks in advance
