Low volatge D.B feeders are missing.

Low volatge D.B feeders are missing.

Low volatge D.B feeders are missing.

(OP)
I recently stumbled upon a challenge in the construction site I am supervising. We are guided by two main drawings, 1) Tender drawings, 2) Shop drawings. The tender drawings indicate that there are two D.Bs each for a separate room in a specific building.

Unfortunately, there were no load tables for the two D.Bs, which means no feeders. I know it is an error from the ministry and it will take time before they come up with edited version of the tender.

A proposed solution was to take two feeders from two nearby Main Switch Boards (MSB), each will feed a D.B and new load calculations will be performed. However, one of the nearby MSB dont have a spare, and currently we are studying weather to get a new MSB from the manufacturer with more spares and replace the old one.

please advise...

JBpower,

Hi!

I did encounter similar drawings which it seems some distribution feeders were missed out! What I did was review the load schedules and found out the feeders were listed on a metered loads list!

Also, tender drawings are often not the ones followed for construction. We refer to these drawings as a guide as to methodologies required. In construction, we always use AFC (approved for construction) plans. Having said that, please make sure you get hold of "shop drawings" that are approved by project management, else you're gonna get trouble collecting!

burnt2x,

Thank you for the tip, I finally found some one who knows what im going through, I just started working in a large construction site.
The main problem is always the Tender drawings. For the " shop drawings" they for sure needed to be approved by main site eng. I guess if you dont mind helping me out with some new stuff to me here in the site. In the near future :)
I would appreciate it.
