Hopefully an easy one...

Somehow my column identifiers have been changed to numbers not letters.

How can I change it back?

At the moment I have R1C1 or similar instead of A1

I thought I'd found it under tools options generan but it didnt' seem to work.

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...

Finally found it in help but can't get it to stay:

"Tip   To turn R1C1 reference style on (or off), click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the General tab. Under Settings, select or clear the R1C1 reference style check box."

I get a name conflict windo pop up, anyone know what the new name should be or am I completely wrong?

RE: column identifier

You maybe need to change it in the normal.xlt (or whatever the default template is called) to get it to stick.

Thanks Mint.  I typed in gobbaldygook (otherwise  known as random characters) in the new name box and it seemed to work.
