Rhino 3D Ver2 (Jan 2002) Free Evaluation Copy
(OP)
Come on guys this is good deal and dammit it's fun too!
I downloaded Rhino 3D Version 2 from www.rhino3d.com because I was tired of being limited to the geometric shapes of AutoCad. I want to do be able what the kids doing Design Technology had on show at the local High School's Open Day and that I could'nt do in my wettest dream with AutoCad.
It's a 20 Meg download expanding to 40 Meg. Completely intuitive and if your an AutoCad driver it's even easier because you can add AutoCad aliases to the alias list.
You don't get asked for your company name or position or any of that crap just click on download or whatever and down it comes. You are allowed 25 saves or exports and in 3 weeks I used 2!
It's on my home machine and if my dinosaur and my spacecraft won't get me commissions in movie work, I can see how the the techniques apply to castings, moulds or consumer product design (and it's got the kids away from computer games and wanting to be shown how Dad draws on the computer!).
My Boss is buying a seat for work. At first he grumbled about how tight the budget was then baulked at how low priced it was (honestly!). He rang an Engineering Consultant he's known for years who tells him "Oh yes, Rhino 3D ..we have it of course ..do some drawing with it but it's real value to us is to translate between various file formats."
So some of you guys download it too, have a bit of fun and see what it might be able to do for you.
PS. Sorry about the speel but truely I was going to ask a question abot blending but found no activity in the forum.
Best wishes to all.
Aussie John
