How to set up colors ?
How to set up colors ?

Question: How do you set up colors so that there is a big color difference between fully defined (constrained) and not fully defined elements in sketch ?
On my default set up the difference is hardly visible - not fully defined lines are black and fully defined very dark blue - it is very hard to distinguish.
Thanks.

RE: How to set up colors ?
I do not think you can change the colour. The amount of customisation is nothing like SW. Over here they tell YOU how to work.
However have you got 'autoproject origin in new sketch create' ticked on tools/application options/sketch. This will ground your new sketch as per SW and then the colours in mine are blue and purple which is better than blue and black. I also use the blue sky background which helps.
Good luck

RE: How to set up colors ?
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor2008\SDK\Tools\Users\ColorSchemeEditor\
,or something similar depending on where you installed Inventor on your computer. This is a program provided by Autodesk with Inventor but is not part of the software that will allow you to edit your color schemes.
The easier method is just to change your color scheme. I use the millennium scheme and it works well for me. Using just the stock Inventor software you can change your background. You might try creating a .BMP that is the background color you like and using that with the color scheme that works best.

Looks like a bunch of other tools in there too. I wonder what they might help with.
