How to remove the subtype option in manufacturing

(OP)
Hi

How to remove the unwanted option from UG manufacturing.

For example ; we are not using drill_text,break_chip,peck_drill in drill subtype option,
is there any solution to grey out or remove from the dialog box.

Thanks

RE: How to remove the subtype option in manufacturing

The Sub Types are part of the default templates that come with NX.
Before trying to remove them first make a copy of the original files, because as soon as you remove the sub types someone will say they were using them.
In my system the template files are in
C:\Program Files\UGS\NX 4.0\MACH\resource\template_part\english
C:\Program Files\UGS\NX 4.0\MACH\resource\template_part\metric

Edit the drill.prt and right click on the operations you don’t want to see. Select object-template setting.  There should be a checkmark on Template, un-check the Template setting.  Save the part.

Next time you start NX only the operations that are set to Template will display as a Sub Type

If you want you can create your own templates and define your own types and subtypes.
Look under Help – Manufacturing – Manufacturing General – Customizing your Environment- Templates
