Noise generation from gas releases

Noise generation from gas releases

Noise generation from gas releases

(OP)
Does anyone know if there are calculation methods available for the following?
a) Methods for estimating the noise generated by an un-ignited release of high pressure gas, eg we have a hole in a pipe and gas comes out how do we estimate the noise this generates
b) Methods for estimating the noise generated by an ignited release of gas, eg we have a hole in a pipe which releases flammable gas which then burns. Again how to estimate the noise generated - I guess this last one will be like a flare stack

RE: Noise generation from gas releases

Sorry, I have no value added to this post, but the title did bring a smile to my face.  Thought this may be a personal dilemma.
