0.3% St Shaft

0.3% St Shaft

0.3% St Shaft

(OP)
Hi all,
I have been modelling up a shaft for a machine from a drawing from the 40's, its states the material is 0.3% St,
my probelm is im not sure what the St is refering to. Is the St refering to a material that is present in the steel or does it stand for steel and then leave no indication as to what the 0.3% material is?

Kind regards,
Andy

RE: 0.3% St Shaft

Thanks Corypad, thats what I suspected but I didnt want to jump to any conclusions as its an expensive part to manufacture and it has to be right.
Regards,
Andy
