RE: Search Is Working Again

Search? I don't need no stinking search! I'll just post the same questions over and over and over and over and over...

Easy:
Uninstall newer version, install older version, work with files, then back to newer version.

RE: Search Is Working Again

I have a client who is using '05, but I'm using '07. He can't open my files. Is there something I can do so that he can?

RE: Search Is Working Again

Now that they fixed the search, maybe someone will have time to respond when I send questions to site support.

RE: Search Is Working Again

It's not going to stop people from not using it.

RE: Search Is Working Again

Gasp!  I think you're right, I'm not getting results for "and", "or", "if", "the" and "of".  Oh dear...

RE: Search Is Working Again

Well, at least posting in this thread regularly keeps reminding people of its existence...

About the short words, that is pretty normal behaviour, if they were to index 3 letter and shorter words the database would be huge (and slow).

... and every post would be listed in the search.

RE: Search Is Working Again

Umm, I meant that as an example.  The search wasn't working at all.  I used other not so common phrases that I knew was in at least some messages.  However, I just tried those words again, and now I am getting results.  It's behaving in a spotty fashion or there was some glitch earlier that is gone now.

RE: Search Is Working Again

There has to still be a glitch. I did a search for "CorBlimeyLimey" and every post showed up...

RE: Search Is Working Again

I've been thinking...this forum could really use a search function...

They call me the "Idea Man"

(It's often preceded by the word "stupid" for some reason).
