multiple gage wires in single solderless terminals
multiple gage wires in single solderless terminals
(OP)
I can't believe this - I was just reading something on how to size terminals for more than one gage wire - and now that I need it, I can't locate it for the life of me!
Can anyone remind me how to determine the proper [solderless] terminal size for coupling more than one gage wire in a single end terminal (i.e. two AWG14 wires and say an AWG 10 - what size terminal)?
Thank you from NC NASCAR country

RE: multiple gage wires in single solderless terminals
1-10AWG
2-12AWG
2-14AWG, 1-16AWG
etc., etc.
Otherwise you can look up, on one of the zillion sites, the crossectional area of a 10AWG and of your wires and see if they are comparable.
There is no set standard for crimp terminals.

But I'll find out who the vendor is and see about Engineering Tech Data from them. Thank you!
