Forming -Brake Press

(OP)

I am working on part that is 11ga A569 steel, it is 4 feet tall and 26 inches wide, i am bending the part into a J ((2) 90 degree bends) and then the part gets welded together to form a square tube that is 14" x 7" x 4ft. I having trouble holding the the bends at 90 degrees. right now i am hold them at plus or minus 1 degree and i need to cut that in half or more to get a good part. Are there any new bending techniques out there????

RE: Forming -Brake Press

We use a CNC brake, this way we can input corrections to get the proper bend.

Otherwise you will have to trial and error or build a die set
