Calculating surface area?

Calculating surface area?

Calculating surface area?

(OP)
HELP --- Is there a way to calculate the surface area of an assembly? For example I am assembling three layers - two flat plates of a different thichness that sandwich a layer of bricks. When I try to use Model Analysis the value the I get is the surface area of all three layers as if they were separate. I am trying to determine the surface area of all three assembled for painting.

Thanks;

Dad1

RE: Calculating surface area?

You can do a few things.

1-Make a shrinkwrap of all the parts and measure the shrinkwrap.

2-Make a surface envelope of the assembly and measure that.

Hope this helps.
