I am looking for a low voltage AC pulsing circuit. Voltage is approximately 1 to 5 volts AC. I need this circuit to pulse at 15 to 20 times per second. It would be best if it was a variable control on the pulsing.

What is the basic application?
What is the power source?

Triangle wave? Sine wave? Rectangle wave? Square wave?

Hope this isn't a school project...

Definitely not a "school project". We are working on nerve regeneration with a new concept. We want to work with a sine wave if at all possible. The problem is I cannot find an AC system in low voltage that will allow for fast pulsing. The actual power source is just standard AC.

Okay the best method to do this, especially since you are talking a range of frequencies and voltages, is with a microprocessor.  This is plenty slow, and in a low voltage realm, so you use a microprocessor to shape the waveform and amplitude.   You can either have it calculate the values realtime since your frequency is so low or you can run lookup tables that you just sequentially step thru at a fixed rate.

As with ALL electrical connections to living things you need to be VERY careful about isolation and protection to prevent electrocution.  This also goes for the system allowing it during a parts failure.

I am surprised you can't get a TENs unit to do this for you.

You could also use any one of dozens of signal generators available to produce your sinewaves.
