Composition or TBP of Naphtha

Composition or TBP of Naphtha

Composition or TBP of Naphtha

Could someone please tell me the different Boiling temperature cut points of naphtha, because I need it to input into Hysys. I tried searching for it online but not results.

Thanks

RE: Composition or TBP of Naphtha

I suppose that you need naphta distillation, here is example of  density and ASTM D-86 disttilation:

Density @ 15oC, g/cm3    0.7343

IBP        45  degC
5%        71  degC
10%        79  degC
50%        124 degC
90%        168 degC
95%        175 degC
FBP        186 degC

Milutin

kedatin:

To supplement the response from Milutin, you should unserstand that:

(1) Naphtha may contain dozens of hydrocarbons ranging from those with 4 carbon atoms to those with 11 carbon atoms.

(2) The composition of naphtha will vary with the crude oil source and with the refinery producing the naphtha. Therefore, the True Boiling Point (TBP) distillation will also vary with the crude source and with the refinery source.

Milutin or Somone,

could you please indicate the hydrocarbon involved in each cut point(ie. at 5% cp it would include C3-C5?). I need these cut points and HC involved to enter into hysys, other wise i'd have to use the weight percent of each hydrocarbon in the naphtha streams.

IBP        45  degC         Hydrocarbon
5%        71  degC              c3-c5?
10%        79  degC
50%        124 degC
90%        168 degC
95%        175 degC
FBP        186 degC

also, could you please give a website so I can reference it.

your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks
