Hole wizard error

Hole wizard error

Hole wizard error

(OP)
I have a tapped hole in a part from the HW when I go to change the size of the hole by editing the feature I get an error stateing "no bodies selected for the feature scope". I have not moved anything or added any holes. If I change it back to the original size it then give me the error again.  Any help would be great SW 2007 SP 3

RE: Hole wizard error

I had the same issue in 2007 SP4.0.  I found that you had to re-select the body/ies for it to work.  Hated having to do it, but...

Now using 2008 SP0.0 and so far I have not seen the same issue (just many new ones).

RE: Hole wizard error

The first thing I would try is updating to SP5.

Are you editing the feature by selecting the icon in the Feature Manager? Does the HW dialogue box open correctly?

Is an option in the HW (Up To Vertex, Up To Surface, etc) trying to reference a face or body which has been changed/deleted?

cheers

RE: Hole wizard error

cruiser51,
Just a thought, are you using 3d hole wizard?
Do you pick the surface before you click hole wizard?

Seems if you turn the auto select feature on or off in the feature scope seems to joggle it to work.

Thanks
