Weld drawing annotations

Weld drawing annotations

Weld drawing annotations

(OP)
Hi,
I need to make several welding drawings which have a lot of welds in them. The problem is that if I show all the weld annotations, then the sheet looks cramped and difficult to read. Has anyone encountered such a situation? If yes then what did u do?

Thanks,
David Landis

RE: Weld drawing annotations

Use a larger sheet?

If already using E/A0 then multiple sheets?

Detailed views/Auxiliary views/showing the same view twice for different annotation...

Or am I missing the point of the question?

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...

Yes that is one obvious solution but that would require a very large sheet. My question was that whether there any other standards which I can use to represent the welds on a smaller sheet or even multiple sheets.

RE: Weld drawing annotations

davidlandis,

Is each and every weld on your drawing different from the others?  If not, you can show two or three typical details, and put the weld annotations on those.

If your drawing is complicated, it sort of indicates that your part is complicated.  You are not the only person who will be convenienced by standard details.
