Block Re-defining

Block Re-defining

Block Re-defining

(OP)
I have a block with nested blocks (doubt that the nested have anything to do with it, but it is my situation).  I have saved it off as a block file, but as I have needed to make corrections, it wont overwrite the block file when I try to save the block changes even though it asks if I want to and I say yes.  Seems the only way I can get it to work is by deleting the file which means closing SW if I've inserted while in the current session (doesnt "let go" of the file just by closing the dwg into which I inserted) and then opening up the file that contains the block I have changed and/or want to change and then save the block file.  There's got to be an easier way I am overlooking or not aware of.  Anyone?

Thanks,
Mike
