Gabion Faced MSE Wall Design

(OP)
Does anyone know of a good reference for MSE walls?  Specifically MSE walls using welded wire fabric as soil reinforcement.

RE: Gabion Faced MSE Wall Design

Have you tried looking?  Google "MSE walls welded wire fabric."  Try CalTrans, FHWA, AASHTO, any of the MSE wall and geogrid manufacturers.  There is a ton of information if you look.

RE: Gabion Faced MSE Wall Design

Mirafi and Hilfiker supply welded wire walls using WWF reinforcement.  Tensar and Earthtrac design and supply WWF faced walls with Geosynthetic or steel reinforcements.  What's the application?

RE: Gabion Faced MSE Wall Design

Why not go directly to the source?  Contact Maccaferri. They have gabion faced MSE systems (Terramesh System), as well as welded wire faced systems (Terrawall).

RE: Gabion Faced MSE Wall Design

Actually I got good information when I googled gabion MSE retaining walls.

Vulcanhammer,

That link is only for inextensible reinforcement.
