Help!! error message "acces to unamed file denied"

Help!! error message "acces to unamed file denied"

(OP)
We have two designers here that use the same library of parts. If I open an assembly that use a piece of extruded aluminum that he has used in one of his assemblies I get an error that says “access to unnamed file denied”. If he then opens that part file of the extruded aluminum and saves it then I have no trouble opening it. What is this error and how do I get rid of it? We are using SW2007 SP4.0 and have been enduring this issue for months. Please advise if you need any more information.

RE: Help!! error message "acces to unamed file denied"

We have seen this happen before. We believe it is a network file sharing problem. Using PDM solved the problem for us, since it copies files locally (automatically). If you don't have PDM you need to talk to your IT department and SWX reseller to see how to fix this.

RE: Help!! error message "acces to unamed file denied"

Try looking at the SW knowledge base... I found 2 possible causes... sounds like its a permissions issue:
