RV Testing Equipment

(OP)
Hi everyone, First of all let me thank Eng-Tips for letting me join this brilliant community, and also does anyone have any schematics on RV testing rigs, as the company I currently work for are going to atempt to build some small rigs.

Many thanks in advance.

Steve

RE: RV Testing Equipment

Are you going to be testing certified relief valves? If you are, then you need to be certified by your particular organization, e.g. ASME. Otherwise, you will probably be violating law.

Yes we are certified, as we have been doing RV's for some time, we mainly use our rig made by ventil, but want to make some smaller rigs whilst in the middle of shutdowns.

Thank you for your speedy reply.

RE: RV Testing Equipment

There are several configurations which may be used for such testing.  The type depends on whether you want to test Air/Gas or Liquid or Both.  Low Volume Test Equipment presents some problems, but it is doable if you have experienced mechanics operating the equipment.
