Solidworks hangs for no reason
Solidworks hangs for no reason
(OP)
Hi,
I am running SW 2007 SP0 Pro on a Athlon 64 3200+ with 1.5 gigs of ram, and a Quadro 1300. For no reason SW will hit 100% on the cpu and will become non responsive for 10-20 seconds. Then all of the sudden it will come back to life and work great for another 2-3 minutes, then this process repeats itself.
As can be imagined this is very frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening? I have installed the latest video card drivers.
Thanks for you help

RE: Solidworks hangs for no reason
Watch the Task Manager to see what process(es) kick in when the CPU runs at 100%.
Disable any add-ins you are not needing during any current session.

If you want to check to see where this is located, go to:
Tools/System Options/Backup-Recover
You can even turn the sucker off if you want. Just besure to save your work from time to time
