Positive displacement diaphram/piston pump flow Q

Positive displacement diaphram/piston pump flow Q

Positive displacement diaphram/piston pump flow Q

(OP)
I have a constant volume process.  I need to be on-ratio feeding two components into an extruder.  Slip is a significant problem with these low viscosity materials.  The original design used simplex diaphragm pumps and pulsation dampeners but this has proven to be inadequate.  Flows are continuous, 100-250 lb/hr A side (inorganic alkali), 300-450 lb/hr B side (organic acid)

I calculate that to hit my pH specification I will need to be +/- 0.1% of the instantaneous flow.  Will 5, 7 or 9 piston pump  and properly sized pulsation dampeners achieve +/- 0.05 variation around the average flow for the flow from each pump?

Alternatives, comments and pump vendor recommendations would be appreciated.

I intend to use the variable speed output from one to ratio and set the variable speed of the other pump directly rather than use flow meters for another layer of error in the control loop.
