Hot water recirculation
Hot water recirculation
(OP)
I installed a recirculation pump for the hot water. the design I used was the closed loop that returns the hot water from the last bathroom to the heater. the system is not working. I have done all the tests but I can get it to work. I entered the heater through the cold water inlet using 2 check valves, one after the pump and another in the cold water pipe. The house is three stories high and the highest point is at 11.00 m from the heater. Any ideas?

Are you talking about a recirculating pump on the hot water supply, or are you talking about a recirculating pump on the heating supply.
1. Check that the pump is working.
2. Check that the check valve is installed the correct orientation. It should have a flow direction arrow on it.
Don't know if you are aware of it, but you can accomplish the same thing without a pump. If you install a loop, the thermal heat from the supply side will make the water recirculate.

i didnt undertand well the "no need of motor it works by gravity part". i read the attached site.
