Resistance welding monitor

(OP)
I have a resistance spot weld assembly operation joining two .060" hot-dipped galvanized pieces. Proper weld each time is vital because of cost of scrap and liability issues. We do have process controls in place pertaining to proper welder setup, maintenance, etc.. I am considering installing a weld monitor to watch the process. I would like to hear from someone who has used one. Are they worth the investment? Has it improved your confidence in the welding operation?
