Manufacturing templates

Manufacturing templates

(OP)
Hello,

We are users of NX2 nowadays but we expect to change to NX5 in a few months.
When I joined this company I found certain manufacturing templates established. I need to modify them but when I try to add new tools and methods directly to the .prt templates, they don´t appear when I use them again.
Another point is the workshop documentation. I think I can write templates for this too, but I don´t know how.
¿Are the new templates valid for NX5?

Thanks for the help,

RE: Manufacturing templates

Cesar,

Any time you add objects to a template you need to define it as a template object.  From the operation navigator right click on the object you added and select object - template setting - then choose template from the dialog.  Save the file.  If you already have the template you are editing open the changes will not show up until the next time the template is loaded.  You can reload it by selecting Preferences Manufacturing - Configuration and reset to default.

John, on a side note, you might want to remove your e-mail address from your signature.  It will stop e-mail spammers.
